Pensioner, 86, who seriously injured man in Newport crash gets road ban and hefty legal bill
An elderly driver who seriously injured a man in a crash has been banned from the road and ordered to pay nearly £1,500.
John Conyerd, aged 86, was driving a Ford Fiesta in Newport at the junction between Avenue Road and Upper Bar on October 17 last year, when he seriously injured a man.
