From suction cup arrows to GB colours: Teenage Newport archer targets Olympic dream
It began with plastic bows and suction-cup arrows, but Shropshire archery prodigy Lewis Bodkin now has big Olympic dreams.

Newport is a market town and is the main hub of the farming community on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border. The Lilleshall National Sports and Conferencing Centre is home to several Team GB squads including the gymnastic team. It names a hugely successful carnival, Victoria Park and Shrewsbury Canal among its highlights. While a thriving night life also attracts students from the Harper Adams University.
