Firefighters rush to tackle lorry fire on major road in Ludlow

Emergency crews have been called to a lorry fire on a major road in Ludlow.

The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 9.33am today (Monday) reporting a lorry fire on the A49. 

Two fire crews were sent from Cleobury Mortimer and Ludlow fire stations to the scene.

An operations officer was also in attendance.

Latest reports from the fire service said one lorry was "involved in fire".
