Llanymynech near Oswestry is cut in two by the A483 main north to south Wales road.

Residents have been campaigning for a bypass for Llanymynech and neighbouring Pant for decades.

Work will start on installing the pelican crossing on March 19 lasting about 10 days.

More details about the work will be discussed at the March meeting of Llanymynech & Pant Parish Council on Thursday at 7.15pm at Llanymynech Village Hall.

This will be preceded at 6.45pm by a joint meeting with Carreghofa Community Council.

All are welcome to the meeting with roads and also the Limeworks heritage area among items on the agenda.
