Horse rustlers warning
Horse rustlers could be operating in the Oswestry area.
Police say a resident of Treflach just outside the town has reported suspicious activity at their property over the last few nights including torchlights seen in the stable area.
The West Mercia Police Horse Watch group said that a horse had also had a hand plait put in its mane, thought to be a signal from one member of a gang to another.
In a warning on social media the Horse Watch officer said: "A suspicious vehicle has also been sighted at the property on two occasions. It is described as a silver / white Mitsubishi pick up registration DS07 LKN. "
The numberplate is registered to a black vehicle with no current keeper.
"A male seen driving it is described as 'oldish, fat and wearing braces'," the police report said.
Anyone with any information should contact police on 101 quoting incident reference 346-S-030717.
