Inquest opens on couple found dead in derelict Oswestry cottage

Inquests have opened into the deaths of two people at a derelict cottage in Oswestry.

The bodies of Juliet Susan Miller, 50, and Christopher Dean Bevan, 45, were found on February 23 at the Gate House on the Maesbury Road industrial estate.

At the opening of the inquest, held in Shrewsbury on Thursday, John Ellery, coroner for Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, was told that police attended the address at 7.05pm on February 23. On the first floor they discovered the bodies of the deceased.

The inquests were adjourned to August 9 when they will be held at Shirehall in Shrewsbury.
