Two cars were involved in the crash on Hermitage Hill, and one of the drivers had to be cut free from their car.

The casualty was then taken to hospital by air ambulance.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were all called to the B4363 to the scene of the collision. Three fire engines attended from Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock and Wellington, and at about 9am the road was closed.

After the cars were removed and spilled fluid cleared, the road was reopened at about 10.30am.
