He's growing at the double

This, not so little chap, weighed in at 20lb on January 4 and doubled his birth weight to 40lb, in 21 days, demonstrating the outstanding growth rate of the Suffolk.

Owner, Dan Evans, is delighted with his first crop of Suffolk lambs. He started the Lyndan flock at Montford Bridge, near Shrewsbury, last summer, with 15 ewes.

When he is not tending his own little flock he is keen to help his father, Neale, who is a herdsman, and his grandfather who runs a commercial flock.
