Following the de-merger of the Mullock Madeley partnership on March 1, Paul Madeley launched Madeleys Chartered Surveyors and operates from his office in Much Wenlock, where he has premises on the High Street.

Since Graduating from Cirencester Agricultural College approximately 14 years ago, Paul has worked as a rural consultant to many farmers across Shropshire and the surrounding areas, advising and assisting with paperwork - including single farm payment applications, agri-environment schemes, waste exemptions and the English woodland grant schemes.

Paul is also able to offer his clients a complete planning and diversification package. "I help farmers understand exactly what the best opportunities are, for their land and outbuildings.

"Often the best arrangement for farmers doesn't actually include farming! If my clients want to pursue diversification, I am able to work with them to obtain planning permission and then manage any building projects from the drawings stage through to completion."

"Our new High Street location and window frontage mean that we are able to launch our rural property agency, where we are well equipped to market and advertise rural properties for sale and to let, on behalf of our clients, ranging from residential rural properties to commercial units or properties for investment.

"Over the last few years, for one reason or another, we have seen the erosion and decline of farming as a way of life. As a farmer's son, I understand the pressure this brings. My aim is to help those working in agriculture make the most of what they have, so that they can enjoy and sustain an easier life in the environment they know and love."
