Maximising farm profits

"Where there's muck there's brass" - that is the old saying and today it is more true than ever. With ammonium nitrate at around £155 per tonne the nutrient value of manures needs to be fully utilised to maximise farm profits.

Depending on the time of year that it is applied and the application method used, the nutrients available to crops from the same batch of manure or slurry varies widely.
