Twiggy’s Day Nursery in Donnington picked up the rating following its latest inspection in November.

Ofsted inspectors said staff were “excellent role models” and children behave well.

Children were praised for showing great respect for each other, taking turns and sharing resources.

A newly-published report said risk assessments are robust and children know how to take steps to keep themselves safe.

Inspectors said partnerships with parents were effective and staff work closely with parents when children first start at the nursery, gaining information about their individual needs.

Opportunities

The report continued: “Parents are kept well informed about their children’s progress.

“Staff effectively involve all children when taking part in group activities together, such as circle time.”

“Staff extend opportunities to introduce new language as children share their feelings.”

The nursery was given a rating of ‘good’ across the board.

It launched in 2016 and is situated in a converted house in Donnington.

The nursery has 13 members of childcare staff and provides funded early education for two, three and four-year-olds.
