Drink-drive arrest after crash with police car in Telford
A driver was arrested for drink driving after crashing into a police car in Telford.
A police officer and passenger were taken to hospital with injuries sustained in the crash.
Telford Police tweeted a picture of the vehicles involved in the crash and said that the driver of the other car had been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
A post on the Telford Patrol twitter account said: "Driver failed to see a marked police car which was waiting to turn right & drove straight into the back of it at speed."
The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday.
In a later Twitter response enquiring about the severity of the officer's injuries the account confirmed that they had now returned home, stating: "The officer was discharged from hospital a few hours later, with the usual injuries associated with this type of collision."
