Man, 18 , arrested in Oswestry on suspicion of sexual grooming

West Mercia Police arrested the teenager in Oswestry on Thursday evening, after receiving a call from the group Keeping Kids Safe.

The arrest was made at a property at 9.15pm.

The man has now been released under police investigation.

West Mercia Police spokeswoman, Laura Matlby, said: "At around 9.15pm last night, Thursday, police were called to a property in Oswestry.

"An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual grooming. He has been released under investigation.

"The arrest was made after a member of the public contacted police."
