Arrest after 100 cannabis plants worth £60,000 found during Telford drugs raid

A woman has been arrested after a drugs raid on a home which uncovered more than 100 cannabis plants.

Officers raided the house in Station Hill, Oakengates at 10am this morning.

They found more than 100 plants in the garage - which police say is worth £60,000.

The woman in her 50s was arrested and is currently in custody at Malinsgate police station.

PC Gareth Bee, of Ketley and Oakengates safer neighbourhood team, said: "I'm pleased this was a successful raid.

"We acted on information that there was a grow at an address in Station Hill, Oakengates. In excess of 100 plants were being grown.

"There was one arrest of a woman in her 50s who is currently in custody."
