The Newtown business was named Business of the Year in the Shropshire Star Excellence in Business Awards in April.

Now it has fresh reason to celebrate after group revenue rose by 24 per cent to £9.2 million for the first six months of the year.

Pre-tax profit for the period also increased, accelerating by nine per cent to £2.7 million. That was despite the firm investing in its expansion into the US, alongside its operations in the UK and France.

Managing director Andy Walters said: "

Revenues for the first half came in at £9.2 million, representing growth of 24 per cent on last year with fleet revenues growing by 17 per cent and insurance growth particularly strong at 43 per cent. We have achieved a step change in new fleet installations and have continued to invest in our US business."

Quartix floated on the stock market in late 2014, since then it has experienced strong growth in its performance.

The company, which employs 90 people, including 65 at its Park Street offices in Newtown,

installs tracking equipment into fleet cars and for insurance companies.
