Management at De Greys in Ludlow have opened up a 30-day consultation with staff regarding redundancies and admitted today closure was an option. The reasons have not been disclosed.
The tearoom has been in operation for more than 100 years. But manager Robbie Underhill said today: "We have entered into a period of consultation with our staff, that is for 30 days and there is the possibility of redundancies. Closure is an option, but it is not definite at this stage."
