£7m tyre deal secured
A Telford company has secured a £7 million contract with one of China's biggest tyre manufacturers, bosses said today. The contract at Treadsetters, Halesfield 8, could nearly double the size of the workforce, with 15 new jobs at the site.

Owners Peter Smith and his son Matthew have signed the contract with tyre manufacturer Yongthai after company bosses flew in from China.
Treadsetters will now be selling the company's Durun tyre.
Adam Fletcher, spokesman for Treadsetters said: "This is a massive contract. We started with four or five people just three years ago and now we are up to 18. But this contract will create at least 15 more jobs. This three-year contract is worth at least £7 million.
"We have been working up to this contract for a long time. They are one of the biggest companies in China so this is fantastic news for us."
