A section of footpath has been closed to maximise safety while Severn Trent Water makes repairs to a water main on Ladywood.
Visitors to Ironbridge are being encouraged to follow a diversion route - walking up Ladywood before turning left at the junction of Ironbridge Road before following the road towards the bridge where they can access the path again.
Yesterday (May 4), Severn Trent said delays were "likely" and that access to Station Yard car park in Ironbridge is "limited".
Visitors to the historic village were asked to use alternative parking. Severn Trent says Ironbridge Coach Park will be reopened to "full capacity" today.
Engineers worked throughout the weekend to fix the issue.
An update at 8.15am said: "Our teams are still working hard to fix the burst on Ladywood in Ironbridge, we're working around the clock to get everything back to normal and are dealing with a complex repair which needs to be done carefully.
"We have closed a section of the footpath to keep our workers and the public safe while we do this and we’re sorry for the disruption this may cause.
"Visitors are encouraged to follow the diversion route, walking up Ladywood, before turning left at the hairpin junction of Ironbridge Road, following the road up towards the bridge before being able to access the path again on the right-hand side by Coalford."
A Severn Trent spokesperson added: "We’d like to thank the public and local authorities in Ironbridge for their understanding and support as we work to fix a burst pipe on Ladywood.
"Our teams have been working around the clock over the bank holiday and have now fixed the pipe, they will be on site today to prepare it for reinstatement. Ironbridge Coach Park is set to be reopened to full capacity today, while the path on Ladywood will be reopened once the reinstatement has taken place."
Severn Trent said it will provide updates on its incident log.
