Emergency services respond to multiple overnight crashes across Shropshire

Emergency services in Shropshire were sent to a number of overnight crashes ahead of the weekend.

A fire crew in Bridgnorth said they were alerted to a crash in in Claverley on Friday night at around 8pm.

The incident involved two cars that had collided in Long Common. 

Meanwhile, a fire crew in Shrewsbury were sent to Lyth Hill Road where they were joined at the scene by the police.

A spokesperson said the incident involved a car that had collided with a brick wall.

Crews moved the car from the roadway and made the vehicle electrically safe using small tools.

And then in Oswestry, just before 5am, a fire crew was sent to the B4580 after a car had careered into a hedgerow.

Nobody was trapped in the vehicle and the police were also at the scene, a spokesperson for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
