Telford Centre's Tree of Light campaign raises thousands for charity
Bosses at the Telford Centre have shared their delight after a campaign over the Christmas period has raised more than £40,000 for local charities.
The familiar Tree of Light campaign ran in November and December at Telford Centre.
Donations have been split between Severn Hospice, Hope House, The Bridge School, Lingen Davies and the PACT Dementia appeal at SaTH.
The recent sum takes overall donations from the The Tree of Light during the last 30 years to £873,699.
Telford Centre said it is committed to the continued support of the community with an additional £18,000 worth of fundraising taking place at the centre last year from other local charities.
It added that more than £30,000 worth of mall space has been provided at no cost to enable fundraising to take place.
Marketing Manager at Telford Centre, Katie Broome said: "Telford Centre has always been an important part of the community and it’s amazing to see just how much support there is for the local charities. They all do such a brilliant job, and we know that without the support of the community the funds raised just wouldn’t be possible."
