Judge decides fate of pit bull that bit police officer
A woman has been sentenced in court after her pit bull dog bit a police officer - injuring him in the process.
Jade Davies, 25, and of Woodlands Park Road in Birmingham, was sentenced at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Friday (January 17), with the judge also making a decision on the fate of the illegal dog.
Davies, who had been at a home in Wem at the time of the incident, pleaded guilty to being a person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control, and causing injury.
The court heard that Davies had been at a house on Isherwoods Way in March last year when the attack happened.
The pit bull was said to have bitten a West Mercia Police officer on the forearm and the leg.
