Storm Bert named as Shropshire and Mid Wales are in the firing line for a 24 hour weekend deluge
Shropshire and Mid Wales are in the cross-hairs of a deep low pressure system that weather experts have named Storm Bert.
After a frozen Thursday and Friday with its warning of icy weather, it is set to be a stormy Saturday and Sunday as Bert brings snow on high ground to be followed by high winds and a deluge of rain.
Mixed with rapidly melting snow, there is the prospect of travel disruption and flooding.
