BBC's Songs of Praise featuring Shropshire church's internet programme
A Shropshire church's unique internet programme will feature on BBC's Songs of Praise this Sunday.
Presenter Connie Fisher visited Christ Church in Little Drayton, Market Drayton, along with her TV crew, to find out more about the TGI Monday Show.
The 10-minute show, which was launched in December and can be watched on YouTube and Facebook, sees a panel of church men and women discuss different issues.
Christ Church will feature in the next episode of the BBC programme, which will be aired at 5.15pm tomorrow and will see Connie meet the bloggers and tweeters spreading the Christian message around the country.
The Reverend Hywel Snook, vicar of Christ Church and who sits on the panel for the TGI Monday show, said: "They were here filming all day on Monday and the reason why was because they had heard about our show and wanted to talk to us about that.
"Connie was really good. She joined the panel discussing what do you think heaven is like. She was really interested about the different way we are connecting to people.
"On Songs of Praise you have about four items between each song and basically we are one of those items.
"The episode is about why churches use the internet and how churches are spreading the word in new ways. One of the other episodes is about a tweeting nun."
Also usually sitting on the panel for the show is the Rev Dan Stork Banks, who is curate for Cheswardine, Child's Ercall, Hales, Hinstock, Sambrook and Stoke-on-Tern, the Rev Zoe Heming, a curate for Hodnet deanery, and online pastor Dr Ros Clarke.
Diocese communications officer Simon Jones, who produces the broadcast, makes up the team.
Each week the panel will discuss questions sent in by viewers.
An official launch party, which will include the chance to see the next episode of Songs of Praise, will be held from 4pm to 6pm tomorrow at Market Drayton's Festival Drayton Centre.
Mr Snook said: "The show has been going really well."
