A53 closed as tractor and trailer overturn in Market Drayton spilling 6,000 litres of liquid fertiliser
About 6,000 litres of liquid fertiliser leaked onto a major road when a tractor and trailer overturned on the outskirts of Market Drayton today.

Emergency services were called to the A53 at the Gingerbread Roundabout at about 10.30am today.
It caused the road to be closed and queuing traffic in both directions until about 12.25pm.
Four fire appliances, including the Environmental Protection Unit and the Incident Support Unit, were sent to the scene from Hodnet, Market Drayton and Tweedale.
Firefighters assisted with the clean up and removal of the fertiliser.
