Once a week, Christ Church in Little Drayton, in Market Drayton, becomes a TV studio for the new 10-minute programme TGI Monday, which features five church men and women from Lichfield Diocese.

Vicar of Christ Church, the Rev Hywel Snook, sits on the panel, along with the Rev Dan Stork Banks, who is curate for Cheswardine, Child's Ercall, Hales, Hinstock, Sambrook and Stoke-on-Tern, the Rev Zoe Heming, a curate for Hodnet deanery, and online pastor Dr Ros Clarke.

Diocese communications officer Simon Jones, who produces the broadcast, makes up the team.

Each week the panel will discuss questions sent in by viewers.

Dr Clarke said the idea of church leaders coming together for a weekly broadcast was first suggested during a meeting last year.

"We were just talking about how to better use the video and the internet, and it sounded sensible trying to do something together rather than individually trying to do different things," he says.

This week marked the official launch of the show, and Dr Clarke said the programme had exceeded expectations. "We don't have total viewing figures yet, but it is certainly in the thousands," she said. Dr Clarke said the programme was aimed at people who might not go to church themselves, or who would feel nervous approaching a vicar with a question.

"People will write in and email, and feel free to ask their questions in a non-confrontational way," she said.
