Robert Clements, 25, admitted at an earlier hearing a charge of sexual assault and a charge of attempted sexual assault.

He was jailed for eight months and six months for the two offences to run consecutively and was told that he would serve half that sentence in prison.

He was also ordered to remain on the sex offenders register for 10 years.

Mr Gerard Quirke prosecuting at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Friday said the offences happened in March this year on a training course for activity leaders at the PGL centre in Baschurch.

Clements, of Station Mews, Westbury, Wiltshire, arrived on the course late and made unwanted advances on two women.

On the first occasion he went into the room of one of the female course members while dressed in a Teenage Ninja Turtle onesie and drunk, Mr Quirke said.

He got into bed with the young woman and and touched her, despite her protestations.

On the following night he got into the bed of another young woman and tried to touch her but she pushed him away.

Miss Samantha Paris, for Clements, said the two victims had both been adult women.

"The offences were committed when Clements was in drink and when his attraction to the young women got the better of him," Miss Paris said.

"The building was at the time being used as a halls of residence for young adults on a training course. They were staff."

She said Clements was currently talking to consultants about the possibility of donating a kidney to a family friend with whom his blood was compatible.

He was currently in work and would retain his job if he did not go immediately to prison.

Judge Tracey Lloyd Nestling said she was satisfied that the offences were out of character but while in drink he had not been prepared to take no for an answer from the women.
