Pictures and video: Budding golfers get into the swing of things
Budding sportsmen have been taking a swing at a new sport during an event encouraging people to get into golf.
Market Drayton Golf Club held the taster session.
Richard Walton, one of the event organisers, said: "We had a good day. It was quite a bit like our first Get Into Golf event back in May, we only had a handful of people who attended, but this gave us the opportunity to engage with those attending on a one-to-one basis.

"They have signed up for five sessions for £25, and of course we would hope that they might eventually take up membership with the club. Our previous sessions have already given us four new members with another three who are actively considering it."
The club also held its Summer Holiday Golf sessions this week, catering to youngsters who want to improve their game over the summer holiday.
Children aged from 11 to 14 have been invited to visit the club free of charge each Monday afternoon over the holidays to learn more about the game.
The events are free of charge and equipment has been provided by the club.
Anyone still wanting to get involved should contact the club secretary Jill Mills at secretary@marketdraytongolfclub.co.uk. Alternatively call (01630) 652266.
