Meet the Shropshire twins with different birthdays
They came into the world just minutes apart – but these special twins have different birthdays. For the little girls, Isabelle and Evelyn Jones, were born either side of midnight.
Mum Hannah Jones said she wanted to have the babies naturally, despite many twins being born by caesarean section.
"This meant that it was much harder to plan when the twins would be born and as I was induced this meant it was a much longer process than I expected," said Hannah.

Hannah gave birth at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, with husband Lee at her side, last year and the youngsters have just celebrated their first birthday.
Isabelle Amelia was born on March 15, 2013, at 11.35pm, weighing 4lb 8oz, and Evelyn Elizabeth, known as Evie, was a breech birth so she took a little longer – arriving feet first at 12.10am on March 16, weighing 4lbs 13oz.
But although the twins have separate birthdays, their family had a joint celebration.
Hannah, who lives in Bowbrook, in Shrewsbury, said: "I think it is unusual to have twins born on separate days so that distinction makes them extra special.
"We still celebrated their first birthdays jointly of course, having a little family party, and it will be a few years before I think we can explain the full situation to the girls."
Hannah shares her birthday with sister Laura – they were born three years apart.
"I like sharing my birthday with my sister but I'm glad my twins will each get their own special days," said Hannah.
Hannah said the plan was for shared birthday parties to begin with, but said the unusual situation might be of benefit when the twins grow up.
"The girls have no idea whatsoever.
"As they get older they will realise," she said.
"If one is a girly girl and one is a tomboy, we might end up having to do separate birthdays with different things."
She said this year there had been a joint party for family and friends on Evie's birthday, with a smaller family day out on Isabelle's big day.
Hannah, a part-time administrator at Wace Morgan Solicitors in Shrewsbury, said she thinks having twins born on different days is relatively rare – but added she believes there may be other families in Shropshire in the same situation.
"I don't know how rare it is. But I do know of one other person who it has happened to," she said.
She said that she had posted about her children on a local group on Facebook, with someone else replying they also had twins born on different days.
Hannah and husband Lee are also members of the Twin And Multiple Birth Association (Tamba), which provides support to parents with any kind of medical difficulty relating to twins, depression, severe financial struggle and bereavement – which are all more common issue with multiple births.
Hannah said they had been fortunate not to need the direct help of the group themselves, but they were both supporters of its work.
