Market Drayton pals taking plunge for Sport Relief
The sky's the limit for four gardening experts who are set to jump out of a plane for charity.
Employees from lawn care firm Greenthumb, in Market Drayton, will plunge 10,000ft on Saturday to raise money for Sport Relief.
Daredevils Dave Nutton, Phil Peach, Craig Brown and Ian Balmforth will jump out of a plane at Tilstock Airfield, near Market Drayton, in the hope of raising more than £1,000 for the charity.
Mr Peach said he came up with the idea but soon began to regret it.
He said: "I feel like I've been roped in. I mentioned a parachute jump in the beginning but I didn't really think anyone would go for it.
"But the director said it was a good idea and then everyone said I've got to do it.
"I've lived over the road from Tilstock Airfield for about 15 years so I do feel like it's my turn. It's a tandem jump so as long as the guy attached to me has two parachutes I'm sure we'll be okay."
Gardener Craig Brown added: "We wanted to do some fundraising for Sport Relief so when Phil came up with the parachute suggestion I thought it was a great idea."
The men have a target of £1,200 and have raised £775 so far.
