Henry has been playing guitar since the age of seven, writing his own songs for almost as long and more recently became interested in music production.

The album, Research I, was recorded entirely in the teenager's own bedroom at his home just outside Chirk on the Shropshire/north Wales border.

Now the unsigned musician is hoping that his work will get a wide airing on internet sites and lead to interest from the music industry.

A pupil at Rugby, Henry is currently studying music production and hopes to combine this and his passion for performing and writing music in university or at a college of music.

Despite his tender age, Henry has written a collection of songs and has played numerous live shows.

Henry, who recorded the album on his laptop, said: "The entire album was recorded in my bedroom at our home near Chirk and despite it being a very short album it took over a year to produce.

"I had no budget and the album was recorded on to my laptop using very basic equipment and software.

"It is a project which involved a great deal of research of myself, hence the name 'Research I'.

"The album is a mere 13 minutes long. However a lot of work was put into every track to ensure not only that each song reflected the essence of the album but also to make sure that the sound was as good as it could be."

Having spent a year producing the album he released Research I on January 12.

He said: "On the date of its release the first track of the album was played on Radio Pembrokeshire.

"Quite a few other radio stations, such as Calon FM and Manchester Radio Online, have also confirmed that they would like to play one of the songs from the album.

"The whole album can be both streamed and downloaded online via SoundCloud and can be listened to on Spotify as well."

Now Henry is planning a number of live shows to promote the album.

"I have two confirmed dates," said the youngster. "I am playing at The Salopian Bar in Shrewsbury on March 28 and at the Lowfield Inn in Marton on April 11.

"There will be more shows in the spring which are yet to be confirmed."
