Bridge jump victim was from Oswestry
A woman whose body was found beneath a bridge on a busy road was from Shropshire, a coroner has confirmed.
An inquest on 48-year-old Sarah Maria Jones, of Glentworth Avenue, Oswestry, was opened and adjourned yesterday by John Gittins, coroner for North Wales (East and Central).
Mr Gittins said a post mortem examination had been conducted and the cause of death was given as multiple major injuries.
He said the inquest would be reopened at a later date.
Emergency services were called to the A483 just north of Chirk on Monday afternoon after reports a woman had fallen from a road bridge.
Police say they don't believe there were any suspicious circumstances.
The incident closed a stretch of the A483 between Chirk and Ruabon for several hours while investigations were carried out.
