Man cut from car after Market Drayton tractor crash

A man had to be cut from his car and taken to hospital after his car collided with a tractor this morning.

The crash happened at around 10am in Salisbury Hill View, on the Dalelands Estate in Market Drayton.

Firefighters from Market Drayton and Hodnet used cutting equipment to remove the man from his vehicle. He was then taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire to have treatment for an arm injury.

John Hawker, communications officer for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called at 10.01am to Salisbury Hill View after receiving a report of a car colliding with a tractor.

"An ambulance and rapid response vehicle were deployed. The patient required treatment at the scene and was then taken to hospital in the ambulance."

Firefighters made the area safe, leaving the area at 10.50am.
