Policeman injured in Mid Wales road crash
A police officer needed hospital treatment after a collision with a Royal Mail lorry while responding to an incident in Mid Wales.

Constable Shane Phillips of Dyfed-Powys Police was injured when the Volvo he was driving was involved in the crash, which happened shortly after 5pm on the A483 near Newtown yesterday.
He was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for treatment for minor injuries. His condition was today described as stable.
The road was closed during the rush hour while collision investigators carried out examinations.
