Inquest on Much Wenlock farm tragedy
An 18-year-old died after falling into a giant grain bin on his family's farm near Much Wenlock, an inquest heard today.
Hugh Jones, who worked at his parents' Larden Grange Farm business in Brockton, died on December 21 last year.
No-one witnessed the tragedy which happened on neighbouring Brockton Farm, also owned by Mr Jones' parents Robert and Sally.
The jury inquest in Bridgnorth heard that it was the family's belief their son had suffered some sort of accident, become unconscious and fallen into the bin.
Dr Nicholas Green, a consultant pathologist at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, gave the cause of death as asphyxiation.
The inquest heard Mr and Mrs Jones were out at the time of the tragedy.
They became concerned on their return at about 5pm and began a search.
The hearing continues.
