A 150-year-old bridge in Mid Wales closed after cracks were spotted in the structure will reopen to light traffic on Monday, council bosses have said.
The cracks in Aberbechan Bridge, on the B4389 near Newtown, were noticed by Powys County Council workers. £500,000 repairs are due to be carried out next year.
But Geraint Hopkins, Powys County Council's cabinet member for environment and regulation, said the bridge would re-open to light traffic for the winter period.
