A 50-year-old woman who suddenly collapsed from a heart attack in a Market Drayton shop before being revived by emergency services later died in hospital, police said.

A 50-year-old woman who suddenly collapsed from a heart attack in a Market Drayton shop before being revived by emergency services later died in hospital, police said.

The woman, who has not been named, was taken ill in Bargain Booze in Cheshire Street on Tuesday at about 10am.

She was driven by ambulance to the University Hospital North Staffordshire in Stoke-on-Trent for further treatment but later died.
