One of Britain's best known farmers has officially opened Newtown's new National Farmers Union Cymru Office.
BBC Countryfile presenter, Adam Henson, opened the new NFU office at Hafren House, St Giles Business Park, in Newtown, on Thursday afternoon.
The Cotswold farmer is renowned for reporting on the topical and practical challenges he and his fellow farmers face on his farm, through the Adam's Farm feature on BBC1's Countryfile.
Mr Henson has delivered thousands of lambs on his 1,625-acre farm in the Cotswolds.
As well as managing more than 1,000 sheep, his farm also includes the Cotswold Farm Park, which has more than 50 flocks and herds of rare-breed farm animals including 198 pigs, 14 Highland cattle and 15 different breeds of sheep.
While opening the new office, Mr Henson also unveiled a local slate plaque for the office, which had been made in Llanbrynmair.
He said he was pleased to be attending the event and opening such an important office within the Powys farming community.
Aled Griffiths, NFU Cymru's Senior Group secretary in Newtown, said: "Adam Henson is a respected farmer and ambassador for the industry.
"He is a highly sought-after television and radio presenter and public speaker and we are pleased that he was able to come along and open our new office in Newtown.
"The move to such a light, modern building is an important development for us and allows us to offer the best possible service to local farmers and clients."
