Loans probe five bailed

Five people arrested by police investigating a suspected loan shark operation in Telford have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Three men and two women were held yesterday following raids in north Telford, including in Wellington and Donnington.

Telford police spokesman Chris Ammonds confirmed the five had been bailed.

Superintendent James Tozer, operations commander, said the arrests were the result of Operation Shade, a joint operation involving a number of agencies.
