More than 1,200 properties were affected by a power cut in Market Drayton.
Properties in the centre of the town were left without power after a transformer tripped at a substation.
Andrew Barrow, spokesman for electricity distribution firm Central Networks, said 1,281 properties were affected. He said the power was off for six minutes from 9.12am yesterday.
Mr Barrow said: "A transformer tripped at the sub-station. It affected 1,281 customers, so that will be pretty much the centre of Market Drayton."
Central Networks apologised for any inconvenience.
