Man held over attack

A man was today arrested in connection with the assault of a teenage girl near a Wellington college.

A 27-year-old man is being quizzed by officers at Telford's Malinsgate police station after the incident involving the 18-year-old on a pathway near Wrekin College, on Sunday at 4.20pm.

The girl suffered a cut and bruising to her nose when she was assaulted after a man approached her and asked her for directions and talked about her working for him.

Officers believe other people may have been targeted.
