Mr Wilde, of George Place, died when his blue Yamaha bike was in collision with a blue Nissan Note car on the Edgebold Island, at the junction of the A5 and the A488 in Shrewsbury.
The crash happened on June 8, just before 2pm. The former Dairy Crest Creamery worker was taken to hospital but died the next day.
His son Mark, 34, of The Rock, Telford, a pillion passenger on the bike, was taken to hospital and treated for hand and shoulder injuries. He has been discharged.
Constable Lee Grantham today urged the 4x4 driver to come forward.
"We have made a number of attempts to trace the driver but have not yet had any success. A number of witnesses have reported seeing this 4x4, which was towing a horse-box, at the scene at the time of the crash.
"We believe the driver of the car saw the collision occur and could have important information to help our investigation. He or she had travelled from the direction of Hanwood towards Shrewsbury and we believe was at the roundabout when the crash happened."
The motorcyclist had a pillion passenger and was riding a red and black, W-registration Yamaha bike
"This man may have important information," said Constable Grantham.
