Shropshire's biggest annual home fair kicked off in style today when crowds flocked to Telford for the Homestyle Exhibition.

This year's event, presented by the Shropshire Star, includes Deliciously Shropshire and the Motoring Village.

The two-day showpiece is expected to attract a record crowd over the weekend with organisers expanding it once again as it celebrates its fourth year.

Early visitors formed queues to get into the exhibition before it officially opened at 10am. The event features a vast array of trade stands and exhibits from many leading home, garden and food exponents with garden designers, soft furnishings, jewellery and property also included.

Events manager Tracey Hazelwood said they were looking forward to greeting thousands of visitors.

"The initial reaction has been excellent," she added. "It's shaping up to be a very successful weekend."

The exhibition includes products and ideas for the home and garden include bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, flooring, cookware, saunas, art, landscaping along with many gifts and gadgets.The Motoring Village is also a feature with names like William A Lewis, Mercedes and Greenhous taking part.

Snooker champion Peter Ebdon is also due to make a guest appearance today.
