Gridlock in V-Festival fever
Tens of thousands of music fans were heading for the Shropshire border today for the star-studded V-Festival at Weston Park. Motorists faced gridlock on the M54 and A5 around the site.

Motorists faced gridlock on the M54 and A5 around the site near Shifnal as the first of more than an expected 80,000 ticket holders rolled in to see a host of big name acts, such as The Killers and Snow Patrol.
Police reported tailbacks on the M54 westbound at Junction 3, along the A5 through Weston-under-Lizard and on the M6 near Junction 12. Tailbacks of up to 70 minutes were being reported this afternoon.
Other big names taking to eight stages tomorrow and on Sunday, as part of the huge logistical feat, include Foo Fighters, Pink, Kasabian, McFly and Fratellis.
Efforts to beat crime and drugs at the festival - one of the biggest events in the summer pop calendar - were also under way today.
Officers were searching hundreds of people and have set up an on-site drug testing unit in a portable building.
They have also sent a remote control helicopter mounted with a CCTV camera, dubbed the Spy In The Sky, to watch for crime from above.
The radio controlled drone will be flown around Weston Park - particularly targeting car parks.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems, scanning car registration numbers and matching them to police databases, are also in use on all entry roads.
Last year 49 arrests were made for drugs possession and 15 for supply. There were 89 thefts from tents reported.
Chief Inspector Pete Owen, one of the event commanders, said: "Our message to criminals is that we will be watching you and you will be arrested if you are caught on camera."
But organisers today said proceedings had so far been trouble-free.
Dawn Woodhouse, one of the co-ordinators, said: "Everything's ready to go for the festival and we are hoping this will be the best one yet."
