Farming Talk: Showground showing no signs of slowing down
The programme of events at the Greenhous West Mid Showground continues apace.
Traditionally our summer diary should soon be drawing to a close. However, the trustees' decision to attract more community-orientated events means the programme will continue well into the autumn.

A clean-up following the departure of the many thousands of folk fans made way for the arrival of the organisers of the Shropshire Triathlon.
The River Severn emptied its flooded excess just in time for the one-mile swim element of the event to be able to take place and several hundred competitors completed the demanding course in almost ideal weather conditions to the great satisfaction of the organisers.
Preparations are already taking place in readiness of this year's bonfire and firework spectacular, which will combine Halloween and take place on October 31.
The Kimbolton team, which provides the stunning New Year's Eve firework display in London and at the Shrewsbury Flower Show, has been hired again to provide an even bigger and better display.
The trustees are also delighted to announce the showground will this year host the Shrewsbury Frost Fayre.
This will take place on November 14 and 15 and plans are well advanced for antiques and craft, food and drink outlets to be well represented. Entry fees will be £2.50, £2 for concessions and free for accompanied under 16s.
