UB40 announce huge outdoor show at Sandwell Valley Country Park

UB40 will perform a huge outdoor live show in the Black Country this summer, it has been announced.

The Birmingham reggae band, who have a career spanning 40 years, will take over Sandwell Valley Country Park on Sunday, August 1, as part of an all-day event – UB40: Live From The Valley.

Tickets for the outdoor show will go on sale on Friday – a pre-sale ticket sign-up is also available. A host of support acts for the August show are still to be announced.

The band has sold more than 70 million albums, more than 50 UK chart singles including three number one hits, two US Billboard number one singles and has received four Grammy nominations.

Alongside Madness, they hold the record for the most time spent in the charts in the 1980s with 214 weeks.

UB40: Live From The Valley is promoted by Birmingham-based promoters Weird Science.
