Welsh music festival dates
A festival which connects up and coming musicians with those in the industry has announced its dates for next year
Tickets are now on sale for Focus Wales which will take place in Wrexham from May 10 to 12 2018.
Next year, the festival's eighth, will welcome over 8,000 people to the town, building on this year's record attendance across a jam-packed weekend of events.
Focus Wales will have 200 plus bands, fill out a variety of spaces and music venues, using 20 stages, and hosting a full schedule of Interactive Industry Sessions, Stand-up Comedy, Arts events, and Film screenings, throughout the festival.
The 2017 edition of the festival saw music industry delegates descend upon Wrexham from Canada, Korea, USA, France, Australia, Poland, Russia, and many other countries around the world.
Next year’s line-up will be announced just before Christmas.
Bands like Catfish & The Bottlemen, Slaves, and Bo Ningen have all played the festival since its first edition in 2011.
Festival organiser Andy Jones said “We’ve built a reputation for booking new acts just before they get really big. People enjoy the exploration aspect of a showcase festiva, in every venue there is another great artist waiting to be discovered. It’s really exciting.
"The festival provides numerous opportunities for budding musicians to connect with high profile industry bodies, perform to new music fans, participate in panel discussions, and essentially kick start their careers in the music industry. "
Applications to perform at the festival are now open for UK and international artists via the Focus Wales website.
A limited amount of earlybird tickets, which grant access to all live and interactive events during the 2018 festival, are on sale now at just £30. Available at www.focuswales.com/tickets.
