Santa Claus joins Llanfair Caereinion Christmas lights switch-on

Santa Claus is to join in the fun as the festive lights are switched on.

A night of family fun is planned to mark the turning on of the Christmas lights in Llanfair Caereinion on December 2.

Porthywaen Silver Band will perform for the crowds and there will be street entertainment.

A host of festive characters will also be mingling with visitors.

Santa will be joined by his elves and reindeer at his grotto in the main hall of the Public Institute for the evening.

There will also be street entertainment as well as popular carols.

A grand parade will also pass through the town where it will spread festive cheer.

Crafts, gifts, competitions and a variety of stalls will be in the Institute. Refreshments will also be served.

The entertainment in the town will begin for visitors at 6.30pm.

While the lights will be switched on at 6.45pm by Geraint Peate.
