Whitchurch spring fair hailed a success
A second annual spring fair held in a Shropshire market town has been hailed a success by organisers.

Whitchurch hosted its second annual spring fair which saw the town centre filled with stalls and activities.
Zoë Dean, town centre manager, said: "We are really pleased with how the event has grown in just twelve months. The event was run in partnership with Whitchurch Town Council, the town team and the farmers' market.
"Thank you to all of the volunteers and helpers who worked very hard on the day to bring the event together.
"There were lots of activities for children including face-painting, dance performances from Maggie May's and Glo's Cheerleaders and stories from award winner story teller Jake's Takes.
"Children learnt about the true spirit of Easter and spring time thanks to the NFU who brought two-day old chicks for children young and old to handle and photograph.
"The adorable baby chicks were next to a double yoked egg stand – where the chicken egg dilemma could be debated.
"April is the second month that Whitchurch Farmers' Market has expanded up into the High Street, which linked all of the stalls and different areas of the fair together perfectly.
"The pop-up vintage tearoom run by Whitchurch Fairtrade Group was very well received, with visitors enjoying fairtrade refreshments and vintage crockery.
"This year the Civic Centre hosted an indoor fair alongside the event with a lovely variety of stalls from crafts and gifts to sweets, books and fresh fruit and vegetables.
"The weather was less than kind on Saturday but the spring fair boasted a wealth of outdoor stall-holders, both hot and cold food, live steel drum music and a variety of plants and gifts.
"Visitors also enjoyed an Easter bunny hunt which took them all around the town centre from Green End to the very top of the High Street, with prizes donated by the chamber of trade."
