Jeremy Hammond, who lives in Clun, submitted this striking picture to our summer holiday Star Witness photo gallery after travelling to New Zealand to visit his son Luke.

Mr Hammond, 55, had broken a tooth while en route to New Zealand and during the stop over in Hong Kong had to visit a dentist – not the best start to a holiday.

He said: "It was quite a day. I had broken my tooth in the airport and was in quite a bit of pain, and as soon as I got to Hong Kong I had to see a dentist who removed my tooth.

"I was due to be catching up with an old colleague of mine in his 16th floor apartment in Hong Kong.

"As you can imagine I was really in no mood for socialising, but when we got to the flat and I saw this amazing view I had to get a picture."

Using his Lumix DMC-GF7 camera Mr Hammond, who is an engineering manager for Babcock, captured this great image which shows the beauty of the city.

You can see the skyscrapers, in front of a beautiful blue sky backdrop with the lights of traffic rushing below.

"It was amazing to just catch it as the sun was going down," he said.

"And now I've won the Star Witness prize, which is great."
