New operations manager appointed at Star Employment Services
A new branch operations manager has been appointed to spearhead growth at an employment agency run by the Shropshire Star's parent company.
Lucy Cashmore has been appointed as branch operations manager to lead the team at Star Employment Services, which is offering services for permanent and temporary recruitment in the region.
Star Employment is now offering placements for skilled trades, engineering, secretarial and administration, sales, marketing, accounts and finance. It will also handle senior and executive appointments.
Ms Cashmore said: "We see Star Employment Services as being at the heart of the local community, run by people who understand employers' needs across the region.
"As a team we have combined experience in local recruitment of more than 30 years. In my career I have I worked my way through the ranks to regional management, reporting to direct board members, so I feel I can offer excellent support for businesses and candidates."
Midland News Association became the first UK news company to branch out into recruitment with the creation of Star Employment Services in 2013.
Ms Cashmore has been joined by business development executive Charlotte Horton, who has 10 years' experience including time with First Personnel.
MNA managing director Phil Inman said Star Employment Services, which is based at the iconic Express & Star offices in Queen Street, Wolverhampton, would continue to build upon the company's experience in local recruitment.
